Nina, a good friend, came to visit, and on the trip to pick her up from the capital, we were able to spend a day at the beach. She was also able to see first hand many of the things I have been bloggin about. Thanks for making the trip down, Nina!
I was finally able to get pictures of me doing actual work...thanks to Nina, who accompanied me to my classes last Thursday. Here is me teaching about the Annunciation in Los Yareyes.
Other recent visitors (friends of Fr OHare) snapped shots of me in the parish kitchen...I really enjoy cooking up yummy dishes and desserts...and have learned A LOT about cooking since being here.
Fr Scalia came to visit the mission early this month. Between going to the loma with Fr. Murphy, seeing Banica, the church and the parish center, spending a day in the capital, visiting my classes and hiking to the fort and the cave, we kept him busy.
All of our visitors refreshed me very much and supported me in my life here. Thank you all for coming and seeing the mission. Through your experiences here, I hope that you were richly blessed.
